Reservation & Cancelation Policies

CANCELATION POLICY

At Make Your Own Tour, we are so committed to providing you with an extraordinary experience that guarantees the quality of our service. We value the relationship we have with each guest and we want it to be mutually rewarding and throughout life.

Cancellations of excursion reservations must be made in writing to nefi@makeyourowntour.com, and are subject to the following charges:

1. In case of cancellation before 16 days before the tour, your payment is fully refundable, less a handling fee of 10% of the cost of the tour.

2. In case of cancellation before 15 days to 4 days before the tour, your payment is fully refundable, less a handling fee of 25% of the cost of the tour.

3. If cancellations are made within 3 days prior to departure, no refund will be made.

However, it is possible to reschedule the route if the request is made 10 days in advance.

We do not offer cash refunds. There is no refund for being late or leaving an adventure early. Payments are not refundable, but can be rescheduled for another date within one year.

No changes can be made to our policy for any reason, including weather or personal emergencies. Make your own tour strongly recommends purchasing travel protection insurance through your travel agent to cover cancellations, delays, medical bills, loss / damage or theft of property, etc.

If the staff of Make Your Own Tour continues with the cancellation of a service, all payments received to date will be refunded, which constitutes a complete agreement. You can reschedule, without penalty, make another tour with Make Your Own Tour within a calendar year from the date of payment. Make your own tour is not responsible for the expenses incurred in the preparation of any canceled trip, such as air tickets, or for the costs incurred due to travel delays, flight cancellation or illness.

 

About no-shows

The vehicle that will pick you up at your hotel may have the logo of Make Your Own Tour and our staff will wear a T-shirt with our logo in the chest area. 

 

We will make your pick up at the scheduled time according to your reservation, and in case We have waited a maximum of 30 minutes and we do not have any news from you, we will proceed with our no-show policy.  

No-shows or late arrivals – no refund

 

For Cruise Ship Guests

Full refund if the cruise misses port or is canceled, up to the day of cruise arrival. 

Prices and Exchange Rates

All prices are quoted in US dollars but charges will be made to your credit card in Mexican Pesos. We use the bank exchange rate of the day so that your bank statement reflects the published dollar price.
