This is a private tour in our version Chichen Itza Express Tour, and it’s named Express because it’s an option for those who want to exclusively visit the archaeological site and be able to get back to their hotel, activity, meeting, take your flight back, or whatever your reason or purpose. But don’t get us wrong, “express” doesn’t mean a bad tour or poor experiences, We’ll follow your pick up and drop off time preferences.
This tour will take us from 6 hrs to 8 hrs, this will depends of you, and some facts, like location and pick up time.

Throughout this self-paced guided tour, you will have the opportunity to visit all parts of the site, with stops at the Kukulkan pyramid, the ball game, the temple of the warriors and several still-existing platforms from Mayan history. At the end of the visit, in case you request, you will have some free time in order to enjoy by your self.
Your Chichen Itza tour will start at your Resort, hotel or guest house, where one of our guides will pick you up in private transportation. We highly recommend to start early in an effort to beat the crowds that generally surround these areas, and the heat of the site.

The next itinerary is just an example. We suggest this schedule in order to avoid the crowds and heat, but we can follow your pick up time preferences. (We never rush our clients in our tours, we only help them to better manage the time to enjoy the places to visit)

(8:00 am because Chichen Itza is 1 hr before Cancun time) Arrival at the archaeological site of Chichen Itza when the site is just open. Your guide takes you to the main buildings explaining the fascinating Maya culture. Afterward, there is time to enjoy this monumental pre hispanic city on your own.

Enrique was an amazing guide, who was very knowledgeable about the ruins. He spoke English very well which made it easy for us since we are not bilingual. He arrived to our hotel early and waited in the parking lot at the predetermined time. This was appreciated because of all the traffic in Cancun right now. He opened our doors and took our bags, and gave us an enjoyable ride there. The next time we go I will be asking for him by name.
